In his statement before me on Augt: 24th: Attar Singh said :" my law agent asked for a copy of the evidence in my case : and waited for it a week : no answer was sent by the Captain of Police Nor did I get a copy of the final order in the case
In his original statement to me of the 20th July, Attar Singh said :- "I went to Mr. Reece who took my statement he said he would apply for copy of the record He got no reply, Rocha and Ganda Singh's statement I asked copies of No answer was given I didn't ask copies of the other statement
Attar Singh has made an affidavit on this subject. I have it not by me at present: but I believe the following is a correct copy of it.
"I have never received any written order of dismissal from the Hong Kong Police force * nor have I received any copy of such an order
"I have never received any copy, or written information of, the decision relative to my dismissal : nor of any reasons given for my dismissal
In Feby/97 Mr. J.B. Reece of Hong Kong solicitor acting on my behalf applied by letter to the Captain Superintendent of Police Hong Kong for a copy of the evidence against me, or of any statements made against me and Mr. Reece subsequently informed me he was unable to obtain any reply whatever
